Map updates for the HX1.
The HX1 came with a 3 year free upgrade subscription for the DRIVE maps that could be performed over WIFI connection. After the 2023.Q2 update was released though, Drive updates need to be done though Naviextras Toolbox on a Windows PC.
( Naviextras Toolbox is not yet compatible with Windows 11)
This is a link to our knowledge base video that shows how to download the Naviextras Toolbox program and perform updates for the HX1 that are still in their subscription period.

Camps 11 ( Australia Rich POI hema 2021.Q1) can only be loaded onto the HX1 if it was still within the first 3 year subscription. After that the software is not compatible with the Naviextras downloads and it will not work. Camps 10 will be the most recent available.
To find out what version of Drive maps your HX1 is running please do the following:

Hema Cloud for HX1 is now retired.
As you may know, the cloud for the HX1 has now been retired.
Your HX-1 or Explorer App will continue to work now that the cloud is retired, however there are several features that are no longer available. If you did not use the cloud for saving Tracks, Routes or Waypoint’s then this will have very little impact on the way you use your Device.
The 'Sync' feature on your device will no longer be used to back up and store your saved data in the Cloud. Any data created on the unit after the retirement of the Cloud will remain solely on the device.
Furthermore, the Cloud website (cloud.hemaexplorer.com.au) will no longer be accessible, which means you will not be able to Register the unit, view, edit, and export your saved data or add data (such as routes) from the Cloud to the Device. You will also no longer be able to view and download other users' shared data.
There will be no more 'Explore' map updates or releases; however, for the HX1 users 'Drive' map updates will still be available (https://kb.hemamaps.com/hx1-drive-update-instructions).
The functionality for downloading segments of the Explore map for offline usage will be removed.
Finally, please note that there will be no software updates, bug fixes, or feature additions for the HX-1or Hema explorer app in the future.
Please do not run a factory reset on your HX1
This will result in the loss of POI and the search function from the Explore maps.
