HX-2- How Do I Switch Between North Up and Course Up Mode??

When using the different navigation modes in the HX-2, you can choose the way the unit displays your direction of travel.  There are three display modes you can choose from;
1. Free Roam - this mode lets you move the map freely
2. North Up - this mode locks your position to the middle of the screen and then moves the map behind you while keeping north at the top of the map.
3. Course Up - this mode locks your position to the middle of the screen and then moves the map behind you while keeping your direction of travel at the top of the map.
Please note: The On-Road mode only supports Course up mode currently.

Switching Modes
To switch display modes in Off-Road and Adventure maps simply click on the highlighted GPS Lock button on the right. In the picture below it is shown its Free Roam state.

If you click on the GPS lock button the icon will change to an orange target and now North Up mode is enabled as per the picture above. You will also see that the location marker has changed to a chevron.

If you click the GPS lock button once more then Course up mode is enabled and the map will now rotate to keep you direction of travel as up on the map.

Please note: This article is current for software v1.2.6.  If what you are seeing on your HX-2 differs to this you may need to preform a software update.
