When using the different navigation modes in the HX-2, you can choose the way the unit displays your direction of travel. There are three display modes you can choose from;
1. Course up:
This mode locks your position to the middle of the screen and then moves the map behind you while keeping your direction of travel at the top of the map.
.
2. Rotation locked:
This mode locks your position to the middle of the screen and then moves the map around you with North at the top.
3. Manual Map Control
Switching Modes
To switch display modes, simply tap on the map to bring in the icons from the right hand side. Then press on the target or pointer to toggle between the two views.
In this Picture, the GPS is set to Rotation Locked mode.
If you click the GPS lock button once more then Course up mode is enabled and the map will now rotate to keep you direction of travel as up on the map.
In either mode if you move the map with your finger it will change to manual map control. Your current position will then change to a blue dot.
Pressing the target again will re-centre the map over your current position.
Please note: This article is current for software v1.5.6 If what you are seeing on your HX-2 differs to this you may need to preform a software update.
