Please follow the steps below to mount your HX-2 mount in your vehicle.
Step 1
Remove the HX-2 mount from its protective packaging.
Step 2
Remove the protective cover from the suction cup.
Please Note: the suction cup protective cover is barely visible to the naked eye so ensure you have the rubber suction cap completely exposed. You can see the protective cover picture lifted in the picture below.
Step 3
Relax the suction cup by working it in your hands gently kneading/ twisting and loosening the plastic connecting cup portion.
Step 4
Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry. Please use the included Alcohol wipe to clean both the intended mounting location on your windscreen and the suction cup (after the protective cover has been removed). Do not use harsh chemicals or detergents.
Step 5
To ensure the best suction lock between your HX-2 suction mount and your windscreen we suggest adding a layer of moisture to the suction cup. There are many ways this can be achieved but we recommend applying some water to your finger tip and then spreading that around the suction cup.
Step 6
Please ensure the suction lever at the bottom of the mount is in the OFF position.
Step 7
Attach the suction cup to your desired location on your windscreen.
Step 8
Turn the suction lever to the ON position. Please note: If the suction lever is not in either the ON or OFF position, the suction mount will only have a partial open will stick but only for a short period of time.
Now you are ready to go.
If your mount comes away from your screen or surface - repeat steps 4 to 8.
Once all steps are correctly completed, your mount and cradle should sit securely (even off road) and not move until you release the mechanism
