Help! My tracking is mostly straight lines

The tracking is limited to the accuracy of the GPS chips installed in your device.

The 4x4 Explorer uses an internal settings to decided when the data presented from your devices chip is accurate.

If the tracking in your app is mostly straight lines, the accuracy of your GPS may be lower than the 4x4 Explorer's default settings.


There is a setting in the app which will improve your tracking.

- In your 4x4 Explorer app:

  1. Open up the side menu.
  2. Scroll down to Settings → App Settings → Tracking. 
  3. In the “Desired Accuracy" setting, change it to 15 Metres. 
  4. The “Track Breadcrumbs” settings, change it to 5 Seconds.

This will improve your tracking accuracy.
