New HR-1 NAV vs Original HR-1

This articles helps distinguish between the new HR-1 NAV and the original HR-1 units 

HR-1 NAV

The HR-1 NAV is a new variant of the previous HR-1 unit, with the same features as before (Apple CarPlay/Android Auto monitor, dual dash cams, GPS unit and 4WD Maps access via Memory Map payment), however it also now includes Hema Hub and Hema Nav.

Hema Nav contains both on-road and off-road turn by turn navigation and track guidance, plus POIs (including campgrounds, caravan parks, fuel stops), track ratings and 3D topographic map data.

4WD Maps is an optional $99 one off subscription for access to digitised paper style maps via Memory Map, however please note that all of Hema's off-road and 4WD tracks are included within Hema Nav.

HR-1 (discontinued)

The HR-1 original model has all of the same features as the HR-1 except for Hema Hub and Hema Nav. You can access Hema digitised paper maps via 4WD Maps (separate one off payment via Memory Map), however this unit does not contain turn by turn navigation/off-road track guidance via Hema Nav and other related features.
