HN1 - Route66 [Street mode] - Purchasing maps using the Route66 Store

The example shown here guides you through the process of purchasing the North American map content. The process is essentially the same regardless of the content.

For this process to work, the HN1 Navigator needs to be able to access the internet.

To allow the HN1 to access the internet, you need to connect it to your PC via USB cable, and have either ActiveSync (WindowsXP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8) installed on your computer.

From the main screen in Route66, tap the Menu icon

When the Main Menu appears, tap the Extras icon

On the Extras Menu, tap the Maps icon

On the Available Maps screen, tap Route 66 Store

The Route66 store may take a few minutes to load, as it downloads a list of available content

Once the store has downloaded the list of available content, it will display a list of folders for each continent.

Tap the folder which relates to the content you wish to purchase:

The store will again display a screen while it is downloading the content list for the selection:

The Route66 store will display the content which is available for your selection.

Tap the content icon for the content that you require (or tap the folder icon for the content you want to select), then tap the Menu icon.

Selecting items

Tap the Download icon to commence the download of the content you selected. Note that the download time may vary considerably, due to differing sizes.

If you wish to get some idea of the size of your selected content, tap the Show Information icon:

Once the download is complete, you will be prompted to activate the content.

If you want to use the content, you have no choice but to activate it. To activate the content, you must pay for it.

You can download as much content as you like (or will fit on your storage), but you cannot use it until it is activated.

Tap the Yes button on the prompt window to start the activation process.

You will be prompted as to whether or not you have a voucher card for the selected content.

This example assumes that your do NOT have a voucher code for the selected content, so we are tapping NO on the prompt window.

The store will prompt for the payment type.

The only valid option is Credit card, so tap that.

The store will display a standard disclaimer window.

The only way to continue is if you accept the conditions.

Tap the Accept button to continue.

You will then be prompted to enter your credit card details.

Then tap the green tick button to complete the transaction.

The content should be activated once the transaction is complete.
