Hema Explorer [Android] - "Package File Invalid" when installing app

Author: Robert Taylor Reference Number: AA-00253 Views: 3245 Created: 2014-04-28 20:37 Last Updated: 2014-05-26 07:21 0 Rating/ Voters

Sometimes, after downloading the Hema Explorer app on your Android device, the app will not install, and you may see a message like:

"Package file is invalid

This is not a common problem, but if it does occur, it is an issue with the Google Play store, and NOT with the app.

Following are some suggestions on how to fix the issue:

Clear Google Services Framework data

  1. Open Settings - Apps - All
  2. Find Google Play Store, then Clear data and Clear cache
  3. Find Google Services Framework, then Clear data

Log out of your Google Play Store account on your device and log back in

Reboot your device

Try re-installing the app

If none of these options help, your device may not be capable of running the app.

In this case, please forward your Google Play Store ORDER NUMBER to us, and we will submit a refund request to Google Play.

NOTE

Following these suggestions is done entirely at your own risk

NOTE

How you get to the Settings screen, and the names of the items on the Settings screen, will vary from device to device. You may need to search Google to find details for your specific device.
